Overview
Care givers provide many services within a residency. Often overwhelmed with requests for service a care giver may not always be able to adequately identify a critical situation that requires immediate attention. This stress is a common concern that has been identified as a key contributor to care giver burn out.
In some instances residents do not interact well with one another and facility staff have the added responsibility of keeping certain residents apart.
Therapy workers may be so overloaded that human error can occur. Inaccuracies in record keeping can happen where actual time spent with a resident is not recorded. Due to a resident's memory deterioration the resident might adamantly claim that they did not receive any therapy when in fact he/she did.
Walkthrough
IndeCare’s analytical engine can alleviate care giver stress while providing better security and care for each resident.
Real time telemetry can identify patients and staff along with the location of each at any given time. This information is analysed and alerts generated when needed changing much of the care support requirement from a scheduled support method to an ‘as required’ support method. As required support eliminates the need for routine bed checks.
The system can also be set to alert staff when there may be need to intervene in problem resident situations. It will indicate when these individuals engage with others they’ve historically shown aggressive and antagonistic tendencies towards.
IndeCare’s logging and reporting facility can accurately identify where, when and how long a resident has been with staff. This information can be used to audit work habits and provide proof that activities, such as therapy, have been provided.
